I'm originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, but I've grown up in San Diego ever since I first came to the United States when I was young. I like to snowboard, surf, skate........pretty much anything with a board. Soccer also runs in my blood, I've played competitively since I was little. I haven't always known I wanted to be a teacher, it came pretty late for me actually. It was only when I went abroad to go teach English in Bangkok, Thailand that I realized I could really do this. I have always enjoyed helping others and spreading knowledge. I love traveling and connecting with people of different cultures around the world. It's important to see the world and put yourself in situations that are strange and sometimes uncomfortable, its the best way to grow as a person.
